There’s an old saying that all mankind is divided into three classes: those that are immovable, those that are movable, and those that move. Electronic music fans are inherently a nation of “movers” and Mircea Ivan has made it his mission to prevent them from ever straying away from the electronic groove… So who is this growingly acclaimed member of the Romanian Dance Scene? What are his musical addictions and what does he have to prove?

A self-proclaimed skeptic when it comes to DJ schools and believer in long studio hours, Mircea had his first true encounter with electronica back when his song selections animated the get-togethers of many young Bucharest party crews. Slowly but surely, Ivan refined his personal style and within just a few years of continued experimentation, the Romanian Clubbing scene welcomed a cinematic mix of tecno and progressive all under the stage name of Mircea Ivan. Places that initially got a taste of the daring and electric sets included house music hot spots such as Studio Martin, Kristal, Silver, The Moose, Xen, Sesto Senso, Fat Cat, The Rock, Oxygen, Barocco, as well as Bulgarian summer hang-out, „La Playa”. The best way to describe Mircea’s style? Most would agree it’s “raising the stakes”. Mircea is a perfectionist and tireless critic of his own work – two traits that have continued to fuel his ascension for over a decade. Talent by itself, he says, is not enough. It takes continued effort to render music that delight and provoke.

On a timeline, confirmations of his presence & influence abound. 2010 brought a featured a night show on ProFM Dance and a nomination for the “Nights.ro” awards in the “best breakthrough DJ” category. In addition, Ivan’s take-home mix series “Sunrise Boulevard” was extremely well received and served as a playground for continued experimentation throughout 2012, reaching a stunning 25 editions + the release of a “Best of”. More exciting things were “squeezed” into his portfolio in 2013 as well. With the new studio refurbished and ready, fresh inspiration was quick to set in. His first single “5 sins” became featured on the album VA – From Perfekt to Miami 2013, a compilation launched around the Winter Music Conference (WMC) in Miami Beach, Florida during the same year. Next, Ivan secured several exciting deals with specialized labels. His song “Phoenix” launched on One to One Records, while „Elements” saw the day of light via 5 Stars Techno. His debut album titled “Playground” launches February 7, 2014 via Chibar Records’ techno label E-Onrush, causing a wave of excitement among fans. Next up, Ivan plans to launch a single through Fever Sound Records and ColMusic, and to continue spreading his musical word through more gigs and collaborations. As for Digital DJing (or the no-more-CD-players movement), that too continues represent his path forward. Moreover, the weekly radio show on DanceFM is very much ON as Mircea Ivan intends to curate more many great tunes through the airwaves. Kashlinski:

First connection with mixing was the Drum&Bass music genre in late 2014. Starting to play on different parties in Oradea, the summer of 2016 was bringing the first festival where he ever had the occasion to interract with a larger crowd. At the end of 2015, Techno was the second learn as knowledge as a DJ, combining a various Melodic Techno with deeper Tech House sounds. A big inspiration and also a huge influence with a similar history, having the same duo-genre in mixing and producing music, is Sebastian Ahrenberg, better known as Seba, the owner of Secret Operations record label.

Kashlinski began his journey into the electronic music industry as a Dj/Producer in mid 2015. Started to be a resident of Moszkva Caffee, an Underground Oradea local with good music&vibes, things moved fast. Got the chance to share the stage in mid summer of 2016 with artists like: Dub FX, Deekline, Ragga Twins, Serial Killaz, Leeroy, Thornhill, Synkro, MC Coppa, Counterstrike, Rido, RMZ, Sorenson, Serial Killaz, Izhevski. In the autumn of 2016 and winter/spring of 2017 he started to share the same stage with artists like: Danaga, Les Psss, Mircea Ivan, Brusten, Mistor and the list goes on. Dj sets totally awesome and full of soulful vibes are gettin’ out every month. Got the very first release at the beginning of August 2016. Many more to come soon.. Wruce Bayne:

Romocea Razvan aka Wruce Bayne started his journey in the electronic music industry in the mid year of 2015, a significant year for the beginning of Tech Odyssey. We can say that he’s the one who learned to mix so fast, that the whole crew was surprised by his fast evolution. His musical style is Techno, transposing into hard beats combined with industrial sounds and also a few breaks in his sets. It is the perfect combination for a Techno artist, his intention being well directed also for productions. His sounds makes you move really groovy and really smooth on a journey from melodic synths, underground beats and smooth sounds.

Many people are trying to get somewhere, but not so fast as he did. He was always surprising and getting everything to a next level, evolving from a party to another. You can’t miss something like his sets… Definetely a refined taste for pure Techno music!

Ovexx:
Ovidiu Demian began his odyssey in the world of electronic beats as a DJ in 2015. Tech Odyssey is a concept that made him pursue his passion as a techno DJ after years of experimenting with the sounds and also a gate towards self expression and development. His trance inducing music defined by strong beats and atmospheric synth is a perfect combination of hard electronic sounds, raw, fluid vibes and oldschool acid influences.
