DanceJAM Performativ
18 februarie 2018 18:00 - 19:00
Duminica, 18 februarie dansam toata ziua in atelierul Echilibru in dezEchilibru iar seara invitam publicul sa ne priveasca intr-un performance de improvizatie.
Dancing Buddhas, Str. Ioan Huniade, 21 A
„… when I am performing I pay more attention to what I am doing.
– For movement to be dancing it has to have in it the invitation of being watched.
– The quality of the watching…
.. can you allow to be seen in detail?
.. I want to be articulated.. You are allowed to watch me even though i am a little frightened now.
– Even if you write a poetry and put it in the drawer, inside the poetry is the idea that is could be read.
– We are good at seeing what is intended and what is accident.
– Can I allow breathing to be part of the composition?
– We understand a person’s point of view through their disposition/body PRESENCE.
– We can stretch the SPACE.
– How to compose TIME in movement?
– The first public is my colleague on stage
– To be poet you need to be articulate about your articulation.
– The things that we assume about dancing might not be true.
– What is dancing? not the body (objective perspective) – not the self expression (subjective/therapeutic perspective), it’s the composition. Being object and subject at the same time.
– Dancers have to have highly abstract idea of themselves.
– Music is the manipulation of perception of sound.
– Dancing is dealing with photons of light waves.
– We notice when the dancer is thinking about something else.
– To become a good dancer is to develop the ability of watching, and then choose, according to your ability, the response.
– How do we know how to respond? We bring with us our embodied memory and imagination. Memory and imagination that makes sense.”
