SUMMARY:Challenges in developing neural networks for object detection
DESCRIPTION:Machine learning is one of the most interesting research areas in technology. However\, even if it’s very popular\, applying it holds many challenges. \nIn one of our recent projects\, we had the opportunity to apply machine learning using neural networks in computer vision. In this presentation\, we will share our experience with object detection and different machine learning frameworks: OpenCV\, CNTK and TensorFlow. \nWe’re going to talk about:\n– What is object detection?\n– Defining the problem where we applied object detection\n– Our approach to developing a solution\n– Lessons learned & conclusions \nOur speaker: Mihai Petrutiu\nWhen he was in high-school\, Mihai was considering becoming a priest or a fireman. Luckily\, he changed his mind and became a software developer. We say luckily because he’s an awesome developer who knows how to give inspiring presentations on just about anything technology. Passionate about software architecture\, he is currently researching machine learning and Big Data. \n
