DESCRIPTION:What is Dance to You?\n~~~~Dance workshop~~~\nI invite you to give yourself 2 hours of self-discovery through movement!\nWhat is Dance to You?\nWe all dance. At a party\, in our house\, with our friends or alone. Sometimes we dance and we don’t even notice. Because sometimes we let our bodies flow easy and careless and naturally we begin a little solo. Even though maybe we are actually cooking or walking on a quiet street.\nSo dance is there\, one way or another in our life. But do we take the time to figure out what is dance to us? We know to give a broad definition\, but what is really dance to us?\nIt can be  a way to connect with other people or a poetic movement that we can discover everywhere if we look with our poetic view. Or perhaps a way to communicate and tell your story.\n Or it can be a way to let our imagination come to life. No matter what dance is for you\, one thing is certain:  it is intimately connected to your own rhythm\, emotions and body.\nThis is why it is very important to be aware on the effect dance has on you.\nWhat to expect?\nWe will explore dance using movement\, playful exercises and techniques from contemporary dance\, contact improvisation and dance therapy.\nIn order to take part to this workshop you need to be open to play in the way the historian Johan Huizinga defined the word:\n1. Play is free\, it is in fact freedom.\n2. Play is not „ordinary” or „real” life.\n3. Play is distinct from „ordinary” life both as to locality and duration.\n4. Play creates order\, it is order. Play demands absolute and supreme.\n5. Play is connected with no material interest\, and no profit can be gained from it.\nWho am I?\nMy name is Anamaria Guguian\, an explorer of life through movement\, a coach using dance therapy techniques\, a performer and the founder of I Dance You\, a project meant to move people and to make the world a better place using dance.\nThe workshop is open to everyBody\, no matter the age\, the physical condition or experience in dance.\nPlease bring comfortable clothes with you and a bottle of water.\nContribution: 20 euros\nLocation: TBA\nReservations: ana.guguian@gmail.com or private message on I Dance You Facebook page. \n
